Inspiration

Inspiration by: Nina Sandvik

I always seek inspiration so I ask people featured on the blog to answer questions on what inspires them.

Nina is featured in a post I made from A Girls-talk a Thursday Evening in Stavanger, I’d love for you to read the whole story here.

If you could ask one inspiring woman one question, who would it be and what would you ask? Brene Brown. She talks about how having courage to be vulnerable can transform us as well as encourage us to dare to take risks in love and life.

When are you curious? Curiosity drives me. I love exploring – it makes me happy discovering new trails to hike, ways to stay healthy, new recipes to make, cool places to eat and meeting new people and places.

How do you feel creative? I feel creative when I am in motion and in nature. I also love being with high energy people.

Who’s style inspires you? I love Gwyneth Paltrow’s style. Beautiful, sophisticated, trendy.

What’s your favorite vacation destination, and why? Italy. Always has been always will be. Memories from early teens, speak a bit of the language. Love the food, the culture, landscape and the people.

Do you have a bucket-list, if yes – can you share one thing you haven’t crossed out yet? Don’t have a bucket list…. Trying to seize the opportunities that come my way. Just “say yes” and push myself.

Do you have a recipe for something healthy, that takes 10 minutes or less to make? If yes, can you share? My go-to green smoothie, which I make several times a week:

2-4 cups coconut water

2 bit handful spinach or kale

2 green apples

1 frozen banana

1 handful frozen mango or one pear

Fresh ginger (thumb size)

Fresh turmeric (one piece).

Blend coconut water and spinach, add the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Do you have a favorite book you have read and one you want to read? One of my favorite books: The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. On my night stand to read: The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.

Do you have a favorite app? Currently it’s UNUM – a new LA/Malibu based company, visual storytelling app I was introduced to by a young Instagram, social media consultant. It’s a design platform to capitalize on the most powerful form of digital communication – visual storytelling.

Do you listen to podcasts, if yes which is your favorite? Dave Asprey – Bulletproof Radio. Dave is a bio hacker – founder of Bulletproof coffee / Radio – upgrading the human being using every available technology. He produces great podcasts that keeps me curious wanting to explore and learn more about human capacity and potential.
